Dr. Charlotte Middleton, Biolae’s Chief Medical Officer, brings over 25 years of clinical experience to her role, with a specialised focus on integrative medicine for women’s health, particularly perimenopause and menopause. Her practice blends evidence-based complementary therapies with conventional medicine, ensuring a balanced, holistic approach to patient care. Driven by her passion for advancing women’s health, Dr. Middleton works to improve health literacy and promote informed, effective therapeutic options for managing menopausal symptoms.
A graduate of Flinders University (Adelaide) in 1997, Dr. Middleton began her career in Neonatal, Paediatric, and Maternity Health in hospitals across Australia before transitioning into General Practice in 2012. Her extensive training through the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine has refined her expertise in areas such as autoimmune diseases, gastrointestinal health, mental health, and preventive medicine.

Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Middleton has spent nearly a decade driving innovation in digital health. She has served in executive roles with health technology companies, providing clinical oversight for products that connect patients and providers through virtual care platforms. Her previous work includes serving as an advisor for an online mental health platform, improving access to APHRA-registered psychologists and counsellors via telehealth.

Dr. Middleton will soon join Young Street Medical, a dedicated integrative medicine clinic in Wollongong, opening February 3rd.
